Kim Victoria Cattrall is an American-born actor from Canada born August 21st 1956. Her most well-known part is Samantha Jones, in the HBO Series Sex and the City. The show has earned her five Emmy Award nods and received four Golden Globe Award noms. The year 2002 saw her win the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. The character was reprised in two of the Sex and the City films (2008) as well as Sex and the City 2 (2009). Her most prominent characters include Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 80s. Prior to her first acting gig, she was a Swedish fashion model. She won in the Miss Sweden competition. When she moved to the US she started acting in several movies and playing minor characters. In the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars she was credited as a Venusian. Following that she was an unproven newcomer in Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most likely category.
